Baoshan Pocket Garden

The project site is located in Wusong, Shanghai, a city with over a century of history. Wusong was once renowned for its industry, being Shanghai's earliest heavy industrial base and one of its earliest commercial ports, embodying a pioneering spirit of innovation. We considered how modern, trendy, and elegant Shanghai could embrace an ecological revival of its industrial past. The site is surrounded by a post-industrial ecological landscape park; therefore, the design scheme prioritizes integration with art and industrial history, creating a harmonious blend of ecology and elegance. During the design development process, we considered incorporating greenery to mitigate undesirable impacts. By staggering the placement of greenery, we enhanced activity functions and revitalized the site.
